Griffith, Carolyn_edited.jpg

Originally from St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands, I am Carolyn Griffith, an Information Technology and Technical Training Professional.  For the past 23 years, I have lived in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Communication and Technology and am currently pursuing my Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology, expected graduation date of December 2022.

In my entire professional career, spanning 20-plus years, I have worked in the Information Technology field within the corporate industry as a technical trainer working with adult learners.  I love learning and teaching new technology. I was honored by being named the 2020 Exceptional Teacher during my tenure at my current employer.

I am very actively involved in various non-profit community service organizations. I am adamant about stepping up and stepping in for great causes like the Alzheimer's Association and Girls Health Ed, Inc. to name a few. My volunteer work with the Alzheimer’s Association serves as the Walk Committee chair and Advocacy team member. I also serve as the Operations Coordinator on the Board and as a Teaching Fellow at Girls Health Ed. In my roles at Girls Health Ed, I have managed all internal operations of the organizations and taught health education workshops to girls in the Washington, DC area. I am driven to serve my community and to inspire confidence, support, and strength in the future.

I am a mother to one, but affectionately known as “ma” to countless others. In my spare time, I love helping people, spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, entertaining, and listening to music!

Life is short; Live, Love, and Laugh! – Carolyn
